ReplyDeleteHi to Kathy and Julie from Charles and Jinni Sidman. We have you both in our hearts every day. I just wanted to thank you Kathy- if you can handle more adoration after "Kathy Cantwell Day" - for being such a powerful inspiration to me at the start of my medical career. We often finish residency exhausted, jaded, with a chip on our shoulders. Seeing the effort you made each day to come in and see patients taught me the true privilege of practicing medicine. You showed me a whole new attitude towards my career that I had lost along the sleepless nights and missed meals of residency. I remember once complaining at lunch about all the minor mishaps I had experienced recently, broken fridges, flat tires, etc and you told me firmly that good things happen every minute and I needed to dwell on that instead. You are an exceptional human being and I am not the least bit surprised to see you handling this next challenge in life's journey with brains, grace and practicality. Love Jinni
