Saturday Morning Journey
As we drove towards Prairie Creek Ranch this morning, as we began to drive on the ‘back roads’, I began to feel this is truly Florida in its most beautiful manifestation. It’s what you hear in the Florida Folk songs…how lucky we are to have it preserved in our own back yard. A gorgeous duckweed covered pond skirted the dirt road, that lead to an open green pasture. A magnificent oak tree was standing sentry, as we drove up, as if to safeguard this sacred ground. This, fortunately, has been protected – forever -and this will become the final resting place for Kathy. Kathy, thank you for your courage to lead our way for green burials in Alachua County. I love you and will join you, Carol

What a wonderful way for Aunt Kathy to continue her work in conservation and protection of the land! As always, I'm amazed!
